18,000 BPH Purified Water Production Line Commissioning

After roughly two months of joint work by HZM engineers and the customer’s team, this 18,000 BPH purified water production line completed installation and commissioning. The project was designed to add reliable output for growing market demand.

Production Requirement

The customer needed an automated line producing up to 18,000 bottled-water packages per hour. Meeting that requirement depends on the slowest sustained stage, so bottle blowing, filling, labeling and packaging had to be balanced.

The project used actual installation and commissioning work to turn individual machines into a functioning production system.

Integrated Line Configuration

The line includes a full-servo blow molding machine with changeable-pitch technology plus filling, labeling and packaging systems. Each module has a different role, but their container transfers and control signals determine overall performance.

• Bottle production matched to the selected preform and container.
• Rinsing, filling and capping for hygienic water packaging.
• Label application for retail identification.
• Secondary packaging for stable transport units.
• Conveyors and controls connecting the complete process.

Installation and Debugging Work

During installation, engineers verify machine levels, alignment, utilities, safety devices and conveyor interfaces. Debugging then moves from dry cycles to containers and finally to production materials.

A controlled speed ramp is more valuable than immediately chasing maximum output. It reveals bottle-transfer, cap-feed, labeling and packer issues while the team can still identify their root causes.

Operator Handover

Commissioning should leave the customer’s team with repeatable startup, shutdown, cleaning, changeover and fault-response procedures. Stable recipes and a shift checklist reduce dependence on one technician after the supplier leaves.

Training also covers the difference between an operator adjustment and work that requires isolation and qualified maintenance personnel.

What This Project Demonstrates

The case demonstrates HZM’s complete-line installation capability and the ability to coordinate production with a customer’s staff under difficult global conditions.

For a comparable purified-water plant, capacity planning should cover more than the filler. The owner should model daily treated-water demand, preform and cap supply, label and film consumption, compressed-air capacity, cleaning time and finished-product storage. This prevents the new line from transferring the bottleneck to an overlooked utility or packaging stage.
