36,000 BPH Pure Water Bottling Line for Gold Water Ethiopia

HZM completed installation and commissioning of a 36,000 BPH pure water bottling line for Gold Water in Ethiopia. After more than a month of intensive on-site construction, the line moved from installation into production.

The project expanded the customer’s bottled-water capacity while supporting a broad package range. According to the original project record, the line can handle bottles from 330 ml to 2,000 ml and forms part of a longer-term cooperation that also includes a carbonated beverage project.

Capacity Expansion Objective

The new line was designed for 36,000 bottles per hour. When added to the customer’s existing equipment, the project record states that Gold Water’s total water-production capacity reached approximately 65,000 bottles per hour.

Capacity expansion at this scale requires upstream water supply and downstream packaging to be checked alongside the filler. A high-speed monoblock cannot maintain output if bottle blowing, labeling, film packing or treated-water storage is undersized.

Wide Bottle Size Range

Compatibility from 330 ml through 2,000 ml gives the producer flexibility across personal, family and larger retail packs. Each format requires verified change parts, conveyor guides, fill settings, cap handling, label setup and pack configuration.

The acceptance plan should state output for each important bottle rather than assume that the smallest and largest containers run at the same speed.

On-Site Installation and Commissioning

Installation began in December and progressed through positioning, connection, utilities, dry testing, product trials and operator handover. More than a month of engineering work reflects the scope of bringing a fully automatic line into production rather than merely unloading machinery.

Commissioning also allows the team to tune conveyor accumulation and fault responses under real factory conditions. These details determine whether restarts are controlled and whether downstream stops create repeated bottle loss.

Energy and Line Integration

The project used energy-saving technology available to HZM for the configured line. Meaningful energy performance depends on the complete system: blow molding air, pumps, conveyors, compressors and packing equipment should be measured at actual saleable output.

A coordinated line control strategy reduces unnecessary running when one section stops and helps operators identify the real cause of speed loss.

Long-Term Customer Development

Gold Water also ordered a 32,000 BPH carbonated beverage production line from HZM. Supplying both water and carbonated projects requires capability across treatment, bottle production, filling principles and downstream packaging.

This follow-on project is a practical indicator of customer confidence and HZM’s ability to support phased factory growth.
