The bottle blowing machine is a common type of machine used for blowing bottles, including single-step hollow extrusion blow molding machines using PP and PE, two-step injection-stretch blow molding machines using PET, PC, or PP, and the newly developed multi-layer hollow extrusion and stretch blow molding machines. So, how should the bottle blowing machine be maintained and cared for during its usage? Generally, maintenance is required before, during, and after use. For example, lubricating oil should be used before use, and regular cleaning should be performed after use.

Daily Maintenance and Care for Bottle Blowing Machine:

  1. Before starting the plastic bottle blowing machine for each shift, lubricate all moving parts once (robot, robot guide rail, mold opening and closing guide rail).
  2. The swing arm can be lubricated every (3-4) days. The large and small chains of the heating machine can be lubricated once a month. Regularly check whether the main reducer and heating machine reducer lack oil. The main machine bearings can be lubricated every (2-3) months.
  3. Before consumption, check whether all moving parts are firm, whether screws are loose or missing, especially in areas with strong impact, and whether there are any abnormalities in belt drive parts.
  4. Check if the high-pressure air source, low-pressure air source, power supply, and water source are normal.
  5. Check whether all emergency stop switches, safety door switches, and maintenance-installed detection switches are functioning properly.
  6. Check whether the heating head is feeding the preform and whether the preform dropping operation is normal. If the preform is not in place, adjust the preform pressure installation nut.
  7. Check if the fluorescent tubes are damaged or broken. Replace them promptly if necessary.
  8. Check whether all pneumatic components are leaking air and whether their movements are flexible.
  9. Check if the triplex is abnormally leaking air, blocked, or if the water cup has too much water.
  10. When the electromagnetic valve of the plastic bottle blowing machine encounters abnormalities, clean it promptly.
  11. The mold of the plastic bottle blowing machine must be cleaned and polished regularly.
  12. When turning on the upper and lower air pressure switches, do so slowly to prevent dirt from being blown into the solenoid valve due to the rapid flow of air, and simultaneously open the exhaust valve for 30 seconds to ensure clean air.
  13. Before starting the plastic bottle blowing machine, ensure that the mechanical parts are in good condition, there is no one inside the machine, and no foreign objects are present. Pay special attention to the position of the handle to avoid injury. Also, close the safety door properly.
  14. When starting the machine, start the motor first, delay 30 seconds before starting the heating machine to prevent voltage fluctuations. Before starting the heating, make sure that the cooling water has been turned on.
  15. After heating for (2-3) minutes, when the oven temperature has risen evenly, press the preform button. At the same time, turn on the power for bottle blowing, otherwise, the bottles will not be blown.
  16. When the plastic bottle blowing machine is running, pay close attention to whether there are any abnormal noises, and ensure early detection and timely shutdown for early handling.
  17. In case of emergencies, press the emergency stop button for emergency braking. Then, analyze the cause based on the on-site situation and promptly address the problem.
  18. After normal operation, do not extend any part of the body into the machine to prevent the robot from injuring anyone. If there are abnormal noises in the machine, slow down before stopping to check.
  19. After normal production, operators must frequently check the quality of the bottles to prevent fluctuations in voltage or other reasons from affecting bottle quality.
  20. During maintenance, press the touch screen fault repair button to ensure safe maintenance. If it is necessary to manually check the actions of each individual mold cavity, pay attention to the position of the robot. Also, be sure to understand the function of each individual button before operating. Ensure that inadvertent operation does not cause unnecessary trouble.
  21. After each maintenance, be sure to clear tools and screws, etc., to prevent them from being left in the machine, affecting its normal operation.
